Omnitik is a shared inbox that businesses use to answer their own customers on WhatsApp, Instagram and Facebook Messenger. That means there are two different situations, and they have two different answers.
| You are… | Ask… |
|---|---|
| A customer who messaged a business that uses Omnitik | Ask that business first — it decides what happens to its conversation with you, and it can delete the conversation itself from inside Omnitik. If you cannot reach them, write to us at the address below and we will act on it. |
| A business using Omnitik, or a member of its team | Write to us directly using the request below. |

Subject: Data deletion request
Tell us enough to find the data and to be sure it is yours:
We may ask one follow-up question to verify the request. We do this to stop someone else deleting your data, and we ask for nothing beyond what is needed to confirm identity.
| Data | What happens |
|---|---|
| Messages, attachments, images, voice notes | Deleted from the database and from file storage |
| Contact record — phone number or platform ID, profile name and picture | Deleted |
| Activity records tied to the conversation — assignment, status changes, notes | Deleted with the conversation |
| Omnitik user account, if you have one | Deleted, along with its permissions and sessions |
| Technical logs containing an IP address | Retained for a short period for security, then rotated out automatically |
| Billing and tax records, where the law requires us to keep them | Retained for the statutory period, and used for nothing else |
We confirm receipt within a few working days and complete verified requests within 30 days. Deletion is permanent — deleted conversations pass through a short recoverable trash and are then removed for good, and we hold no separate archive of them.
Messages that reach Omnitik through Meta's APIs — the WhatsApp Business Platform, Instagram Messaging and the Messenger Platform for Facebook Pages — are covered by everything above and are deleted the same way.
Separately, a business can stop us receiving any further data at any moment, without contacting us: in Omnitik, open Integrations and switch the channel off. For a Facebook Page that also unsubscribes our app from the Page's webhooks, so Meta stops delivering that Page's messages to us. Deleting the channel removes its stored connection entirely.
You can also revoke our access from Meta's own settings — on Facebook under Settings & Privacy → Settings → Business Integrations, and on Instagram under Settings → Website Permissions → Apps and Websites.
Write to support@techeffic.com and say so. If you are in a country with a data protection authority, you also have the right to complain to it.
